AIRMAIL Completing ‘The Wonderful Me’ The Pre-K boys at Lewisham completed their Unit of Inquiry ‘The Wonderful Me’ by posting their ‘All About Me’ books to International Schools in Ulaanbaatar, Gurgaon, and Seattle. After finding where these places were in an atlas and on Google Earth, we all went for a walk to the local post box to send the packages! After weeks of waiting, the boys finally received a response from Ulaanbaatar. It was so exciting to discover the package waiting for us and the boys enjoyed reading about their pen pals in Mongolia. It was interesting for the boys to discover that even in Mongolia they like to play superheroes, eat ice-cream and play games! They commented on the drawings and enjoyed looking through the photos of the boys and girls playing. Seattle sent us some photos of the children receiving our books and it was interesting to consider how our books managed to get so far away! We are now eagerly awaiting our next packages. It was written and run by Occupational Therapist, Libby Bardos, and she was assisted by Jennifer Wong and Chloe Martin. The boys were given opportunities to strengthen their hand and wrist control and to perfect their cutting skills. The boys made great progress throughout the programme and had an amazing time. Thank you, Mrs Bardos, for all your hard work!
