MOVING TOY CARS To support our Unit of Inquiry ‘Come Play With Me’, boys worked collaboratively to design and build a toy car. The challenge was to build a car with moving wheels, that was structurally sound and that could travel as great a distance as possible. Lots of problem solving and design modifications challenged and were overcome by the boys. Well done! On Thursday the 7th of May, Year One travelled to Vaucluse House. We walked around the estate, learning about the Wentworth family with particular emphasis on Laura Wentworth, who grew up on the estate over 150 years ago. This allowed us to make comparisons between our own environment and that of Laura’s. After the tour of the house we played games that were popular in the 19th croquet, skittles and tug ‘o’ war.
