25 TRINITY TREBLES WITH THE BRANDENBURG CHOIR During May, 25 Trebles from the Trinity Grammar School Choir had the rare opportunity of performing with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra and The Brandenburg Choir. This was a professional series of concerts which were held in the City Recital Hall and featured Baroque music. In the lead up to the concerts we rehearsed with our Mr Tim Chung who is also a Countertenor soloist in the Brandenburg Choir. Trinity Grammar School’s involvement in the concerts was well publicised with articles in two newspapers and a story on the ABC News. The concert was also recorded and played on ABC-FM Radio 92.9 on Saturday 14 June. All of the Trebles enjoyed the concerts and gained much experience by working with professional musicians in a professional environment; combining with 25 Trebles from Sydney Grammar School and learning to take direction at a professional level. The challenges for us were to perform the best we could at each of the performances and to work to the level the Artistic Director, Mr Paul Dyer, required. Most of all it was a wonderful opportunity to perform on stage and give people joy. | Hayden Bowles (7Fo) 10 TRINITY NEWS
