Trinity News : April 2008
TRINITY NEWS 43 During Term 3, 2007, KJ investigated a PYP Unit of Inquiry called ‘Just Imagine’. The primary purpose of this unit was to study how stories develop our imaginations and then to use this knowledge to create our own stories. We did this is in KJ by exploring the different types and purposes of stories from around the world and the different ways they can be presented. One very important part of our unit was a play we performed. It was about a boy called Charlie who was trying to ?nd out what imagination is. He asked many special people in his family and they were able to tell him that imagination is as precious as rainbows, as magical as dragons, as exciting as kings and as adventurous as pirates. The boys and their parents did a fantastic job enduring exhausting rehearsals and putting creative costumes together. They performed the play for all of the students and teachers at Lewisham, the Kindergarten boys from the Preparatory School and all of the KJ mums and dads. The boys did an amazing job every single time. Broadway – here we come!
