Trinity News : April 2008
Dean Begetis (2A) Jake Loong (2A), Benny Ouyang (2O) Edward Lai (1N) and David Hoang (1S) TRINITY NEWS 33 The Prep School Library has been a hive of act ivity throughout Term One so far . Our new Library Monitors are settling into their role beautifully and we have had lots of visitors each morning, which is wonderful to see. Some of the Year 2 boys have been visiting the Library on Mondays during their lunch break, when the ‘big boys’ are at sport. This has proved to be very popular and extremely exciting for the boys, who can’ t wait to play chess or look at the ever -popular “Star Wars” books. It is wonderful to see the boys enthusiastic about visiting the Library and having a fantastic time enjoyi ng books with their friends. When I wander down to the Year 2 classrooms at 12:45pm there are often boys alrea dy waiting and the line rapidly grows when others catch sight of me. I think the most disappointing part of their lunchtime is when the bell rings to signal pack-up time! I asked some of the boys why they enjoy visiting the Library and they responded with: “I like coming to the Library because I like reading books” Alexander Douglas (2S) “I like coming to the Library because I want to r ead mor e Star W ars Books” William Bonaccorso (2S) “I like coming to the Library to r ead books and play games” Domenic Romeo (2S) Kirsten Parker (Prep Teacher Librarian) prep school library update year two lunchtime leisure top: Mack Natoli-Wright (2S) and William Bonaccorso (2S) engrossed in some of their favourite “Star Wars” books middle: Library Monitor Alexander Connolly in action at the circulation desk bottom: clockwise from left: Timothy Nguyen, Ayush Nair, Piers Connolly (5B) and Jordan Chen enjoying some of the games on offer in the Library 2
