REGISTERED TRAINING ORGANISATION TRINITY GRAMMAR SCHOOL MENTES MULTAE CONSILIUM UNU M TGS OTU + On Tuesday 21st May 2013, the School hosted a joint OTU/RTO Careers and Industry Expo in the Music School at Summer Hill. The event was designed to facilitate all students in Years 9-12 with an academic and vocational focus in creating future pathways, planning transition pathways, exploring career futures, strengthening student outcomes through vocational learning, and building networks and connections. The event was dedicated to all career areas and vocational education training both traditional and non- traditional trades, as well as ITABs, retail, hospitality, construction, electrotechnology, entertainment, and business services. Other career areas included engineering, law, medical, police force, psychology and many others. This EXPO was an ideal platform to promote apprenticeships, cadetships, jobs, and education and training in these areas. Visitors to the Careers Expo were taken on a unique journey of career advice, interaction education and training options. Some of the aspects of the Expo that benefted individual’s attendance included: interactive and group orientated sessions with other students; networking opportunities with other industry representatives in sharing career opportunities; open discussion opportunities; great information given by the Old boys and Exhibitors; as well as opportunities to network and a focus on career opportunities in facilitating with subject selection choices. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Old Trinitarians' Union (OTU) and all the industry representatives who took part in this Careers Expo by exhibiting and providing career learning options for our students.
