22 TRINITY NEWS The 2013 School and House Officers were inducted in a service in the Chapel at Strathfield on Friday, 8th February. The Head Master in his occasional remarks spoke about the qualities that exemplify a good leader and good leadership in general. It was wonderful that School Captain Manesh Poolagasundrum and Vice-Captain James Sandwell, both former Preparatory School boys, were in attendance. The School and House Officers have had a busy start to the year, fulfilling their responsibilities in and around the School. The Preparatory School Officers for 2013 are; School Captain Arun Satchithananthan Vice Captains Isaiah Tambyrajah Aidan Tharmarajah School Officers Nick Bouletos, Daniel Chu, Christyon Hayek, Gregory Kostouglou The House Officers are: Archer House Captain Christian Morfuni Vice Captain Joshua Abbott Henderson House Captain Marcus Kartsounis Vice Captain Ethan Li Hilliard House Captain Paul Kapaniris Vice Captain Matthew Ng School House Captain Alexander Leckie Vice Captain John Ewida Martin Lubrano | Master of the Preparatory School 2013 PREPARATORY SCHOOL OFFICERS INDUCTED 2013 Society of the Arts “DenhAm Court” ScholAr Daniel Chu, Year 6, Trinity Grammar School Preparatory School, is this year’s recipient of the Society of the Arts “Denham Court” Scholarship. Established using money raised at “Denham Court”, the historic home of Dr. and Mrs. Keith Okey, at a “Carols by Candlelight” presentation in December 1984, the Scholarship pays one year’s music tuition fees for a boy in Year 6. Where a student learns more than one instrument, it is his major instrument which will be covered for one half-hour lesson each week. Daniel commenced ‘cello lessons with Mrs Ludmila Palmer at the end of his Kindergarten year. In May, he will sitting for his Fifth Grade ‘Cello examination. Daniel is a member of the Trinity Singers, Chamber Ensemble and ‘Cello Ensemble and he is leader of the ‘cello section in the Chamber Orchestra. During the year his solo performances will be for Chapel, Semester Concerts, other incidental occasions, the Preparatory School Evening of Music and at the Annual Prize Giving.
