Trinity News : December 2012
TRINITY NEWS 15 REMEMBERANCE DAY The silence of over a thousand boys gathered around the Quadrangle was profound. Then into that solemn silence flowed the notes of the Last Post with their undercurrent of lament. The Ode to the Fallen was recited, and the hope of the new day expressed in the Reveille gave poignancy to our remembrance of those of our School whom age shall not weary, Nor the years condemn... In the afternoon, the Old Trinitarians’ Union held their Remembrance Day service in the School’s War Memorial Chapel, in conjunction with the presentation to the Head Master of the Year 12 Cadets. A page of the Book of Remembrance was turned, and the names on the Honour Roll were read out by the Deputy Head Master. The Last Post was sounded, the Ode to the Fallen read by Mr Malcolm Little (OAM) (’62) and the Reveille played. The address Who to Fight? was given by the Chaplain, the Reverend Greg Webster. | Ron Ogier
