Trinity News : November 2011
TRINITY NEWS 33 The building of the new Junior School is continuing at a steady pace. This purpose built K-6 environment will be a show piece for Primary Education, as the new big classrooms will be excellent learning spaces. > With concertina walls between sets of rooms, the classrooms can be configured for large group seminar sessions, and closed for each class to focus on particular learning activities. > Each room will have Teacher Pods. These are small rooms with predominantly glass walls that allow the teaching staff to have a professional space, and small office, which will give more space in the classroom for the boys. > The central corridor will act as the main thoroughfare for the boys and a creative ceiling design will allow natural light to pervade the interior of the building. > The Resource Centre will act as a Library/Research area, an Assembly area and also a place where the senior students can move from their home room to continue their learning. > The boys will have access to wireless ICT throughout the building. > There will be a dedicated K-1 playground, complete with soft fall area and undercover sandpit. > There will be direct and safe access to the front door of the Junior School from the car park, the Canteen and the excellent facilities of No.2 oval. The new Junior School Facility at Trinity Grammar School is a building for the future which will be of enormous benefit to the boys now!
