Trinity News : August 2011
42 TRINITY NEWS Featherdale Wildlife Farm The excitement and anticipation is building, as our Year 6 students make their final preparations to showcase their learning in the culminating event of the Primary Years Programme -- The Exhibition. This year, students at the Junior School have been exploring issues around the central idea that ‘An understanding of who I am helps me relate to the world and others.’ They have explored lines of inquiry related to issues such as: addiction, racism, bullying, change and conflict. They have conducted research using a variety of both primary and secondary sources including interviews, surveys and wide reading, all the while working collaboratively with other students, staff, parents and mentors. The inaugural Exhibition night will be a wonderful opportunity for the School community to observe and celebrate the growth of the Year 6 students through their engagement with the PYP. They have certainly matured as learners and can’t wait to show you the result of all their hard work!
