Not only was the course beautiful, but the weather was also kind, keeping the day relatively cool. With slightly fewer numbers this year the teams could move from one hole to the next without delay. This made the round significantly quicker and gave us all more time back in the club house to enjoy each other’s company. Dinner was again a feast enjoyed by the hungry golfers. Our guest speaker this year was Tim Wallace who spoke on his time as a Wallaby, his love of coaching and also his thoughts on schoolboy Rugby. A very insightful talk, generating some interesting questions. This year’s golf day had a very special element to it. We were blessed to have Dennis Fox (Class of 1940) playing, who was the winner of the inaugural golf day in 1939. Dennis had just only recently re-connected with the School, saw the Golf Day advertisement in the Trinity News and decided to fly down from Queensland to join us. To top it all off, Dennis and his team won the day! I would like to thank all our sponsors and in particular, Audi Five Dock, our Major Sponsor, for all their support.
