Trinity News : April 2011
4 TRINITY NEWS FIESTA There was plenty to get up in the air about at this year’s Fiesta! Like the lad in the sling apparatus (who rose higher into the air with each bounce) everyone present was in high spirits! A huge array of stalls, lots of rides, mega-tonnes of food and much, much more, it was indeed a great Fiesta! Spread over a greater area this year, with several nodes of activity, crowd movement was much easier. The southern colonnade of Founder’s, No. 3 Oval, the Compass Courtyard and the Quad area all were well patronised. Though the weather was a touch on the warm side, cool breezes often ameliorated this, and the plentiful supply cool things such as watermelons, milk shakes and soft drink were, also, cool! Such was the crowd that not only were both car parks full, but the surrounding streets were also crammed with parked cars! We heartily thank the Fiesta Committee, Housemasters, Parents and boys and all who contributed to making the day such a success. | Ron Ogier JimFilladites(8WH)feedsacaptiveAnthonyKaskoutas(12St)acreampie!OTUBBQ(r-r)MessrsAndrewConnolly(’78),JonathanBlackwell(’79)andRicOtton(’79)arethemenforyou!Lewishamlads(l)BenandWilliamInnestakeadvantageofMumNaomi’s(left)shadyumbrellawithAuntyMrsLeeHanMoss
