Trinity News : July 2010
ow in the world does he do it? Once again the Duhigg Drama Department has tak on the world, or at least the European part of it, and has crowned its previous effo with a magnifcent production --“Eurobeat” in which a most enthusiastic group of youn performers sang and danced their way through songs representing the various countries of Europe. Not to be taken too seriously, however, the songs were delicious satires on the attitudes of the nationalities concerned! The “hosts” Dane Drivas and Belinda Moniaci saw to it that the show moved along at a spanking pace, and rarely was there even a slight faltering in the singing and dancing, all done with outstanding verve and professionalism. By its nature, the second half of the show, dealing with the “judging” of the events was less colourful, but the effect of and crossing “live” to the various countries for their votes had many excellent witticisms and the whole process was held together most competently by Dane and Belinda in their personae as the hosts, and kept the show its impetus. Everything was extremely well done: the singing, the dancing, the costumes, the music, the lighting, the sound, the crew-- all melded into a seamless production in which the audience was actively engaged. Congratulations to all involved i t night! Thank you all! | Ron Ogier EUROBEAT 20 TRINITY NEWS
