Trinity News : July 2010
The old song Come to the fair, says the sun is a-shining to welcome the day. This year the sun was positively torrid! So much so that those noble tenders of various barbecues, woks and other boiling cauldrons involved in preparing the delicious array of food deserve our highest praise! Once more the Trinity Fiesta defed the weather conditions, and multitudes thronged the various attractions of rides, goods stalls, and food and drink stands! Rides were well patronised by those eager for adventure, while novelty events such as the pie throwing stand and the giant boxing gloves were kept busy. The locating of the main stalls on No. 3 Oval, owing to the construction work on Number 2, was a success and the crowds moved easily between there and the Founder’s Block south colonnade - popular for its shade! Housemasters and parents all worked well with the many willing lads who helped, and our thanks are due to them, as well, of course, to those stalwarts of the Parents’ and Friends’ Association who were the mainspring of an event which went like clockwork! | Ron Ogier Fiesta Fare Much More Than Fair!
