Young Writers Impress below: Junior School Writing Competition Winners (l-r) Lachlan Burgess, James Doumanis, Nathan Chin and Ethan May with Mr Martin Lubrano An effective counter point to the Middle School’s´” Mums and Sons” Dinner on the previous Monday was the Junior School’s Years 5 and 6 fathers and sons gathering for a “Dads and Lads” breakfast held in The James Wilson Hogg Assembly Hall on Friday 12th September. It was a wonderful morning of fellowship and fine food. Over 140 were in attendance for a bowl of cereal, a plate of fresh fruit and a delicious plate of hot food. A big thank you to the kitchen staff who had three major functions in the previous 24 hours. After breakfast, we all adjourned to the Chapel for a Service of worship and the presentation of weekly awards. During chapel I was able to speak on a passage from Hebrews about discipline and I related this to my own experience of being disciplined, the role of fathers and the ultimate father God who provides the perfect model of fatherly love and discipline. It was a great morning and I would like to thank those fathers who came along to share the time with their son. | Martin Lubrano below: Mr Wellfare (Nicholas 6D) being served his hot breakfast flanked by some hungry boys bottom: Everyone enjoying breakfast in the Hall Tiananmen Square Visiting aYear 2 class at out link school - Renda Fuxiao TRINITY NEWS 41
