Trinity News : November 2008
Ceramics IN SCHOOLS During the Primary Years Trinity Arts Festival Year 4 and Year 6 boys eagerly awaited the opportunity to participate in Ceramic workshops during their extended Visual Arts lessons. Our visiting artists, Sue Buckle and Kristyn Taylor, skilfully guided and inspired the boys to create the most amazing mythical creatures. The boys were privileged to have such talented artists to conduct workshops with them and thoroughly enjoyed every minute during their visit. Sheer joy was written across the face of each boy! | Jenny Harrisson & June Cornford clockwise from above: 1 Anthony-Bob Nassif (4A) 2 Michael Pahos (4S) 3 Nicholas Chen and Brandon Duong (4S) 4 Johnathon Nicolau (4B) 5 Jonathon Massouridis and Kristian Souvaliotis (4S) 6 Ali Damen (4B) Wrap with Love A large group of enthusiastic knitters from the Preparatory School staff has been very busy over the last few months. They call themselves the “Colourful Yarners” and are working hard for the voluntary organization “Wrap With Love.” The idea is to knit 10cm squares and sew 28 together to create each wrap. The wraps are sent to a variety of aid agencies operating in Australia and in over 30 countries, distributing life-saving warmth to victims of war, poverty and natural disasters. The Colourful Yarners have thoroughly enjoyed knitting together for this very worthwhile cause. | Jenny Harrisson Colourful Yarners (l-r) Pam Brock, Jenny Harrisson, Rebecca Miller, Wendy Bottacin, Emma Macrae, Angela Kuo and June Cornford 32 TRINITY NEWS
