Year 4 at the Junior School wrote their own plays based on famous Myths. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the end to their Unit of Inquiry, Myth Busters. The boys wrote their own scripts, designed and made their own costumes and backdrops and performed their plays to fellow students and parents. Will O’Brien, Reece Sekulovski, Zac Papachatgis and Nicholas Plessas in their play ‘How the Bear Lost It’s Tail’ Years 3 and 4 students at the Preparatory School, celebrated the culmination of their Music and Art Unit of Inquiry, How I wonder what you are …with a wonderful performance in Chapel. In groups, the boys wrote four verses of their own lyrics to the melody of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star incorporating melody and bass parts on tuned percussion. They then illustrated their stories and created their own books. Joseph Michael, James Haddad, Joshua Seet-Lee, reciting their lyrics in Chapel Year 6 at the Preparatory School, celebrated Leadership throughout history. Dressed as their chosen Leader, the boys performed their own Bio Riddle to an audience of Year Six parents and students. They also set up individual Learning Centres celebrating the life and achievements of their chosen leader. Year 3 at the Junior School celebrated the wonders of the Human Body in their Unit of Inquiry, All Systems Go!. Inviting into the classroom medical and scientific experts, the boys visited each expert station in turn to explore different aspects of human body function including respiration, circulation, resuscitation and immunisation.
