MR JAMES MILLS DR PETER COLLINS MR JOHN RUDD Mr James Mills became a Councillor in June 1975 and was elected as Chairman in March 1982. Mr Mills chairs the School Council and is an ex-officio member of its various sub- committees. Admitted to practice as a Solicitor in 1959 and after years of conducting a private practice in his own firms in country and city areas – he is now a consultant to a city firm of lawyers. Mr Mills has given numerous papers on School governance to national meetings of Chairmen of Governors of Independent Schools in Australia and the Anglican schools Network during his term as Chairman. In that time, he has also served on various Sydney Diocesan Committees concerning governance in Anglican Schools and his writings on this and other school subjects have been published in the journal of the Association of Heads of Independent Schools of Australia. Dr Peter Collins is an Old Boy of the Class of 1975 when he was the School Captain. He now has a son Michael here in Year 12. Peter Collins is the son of Barry Collins of the class of 1946 who was also a member of the School Council and has since retired. Peter’s brother David is of the Class of 1974. Peter is a member of the Executive, Corporate Planning, Finance and Remuneration Sub- committees. He has been a partner in a Seven-Doctor General Practice in Turramurra for over 20 years. Mr John Rudd joined the School Council in February 1991. His initial contact with the School occurred in 1985 when he attended the first meeting of the year of the P&F, when the position of Honorary Auditor of both the P&F and the Ladies Auxiliary became vacant. Mr Rudd was appointed auditor and later Junior Vice-President and then President of the P&F until 1991. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of NSW and is a Fellow of CPA Australia and until his retirement from full-time work was a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and of the Chartered Institute of Company Secretaries. He was Finance Director of advertising group Clemenger Sydney for sixteen years before having a similar capacity for nine years with Media Group, Merchant and Partners. festival frolics This year the Trinity Arts Festival was in effect celebrated all throughout the year. There was, however, a concentration in two main sections – the Senior and Middle School in June and the Primary Arts Festival in August. The activities of the Primary Festival included the combined Preparatory and Junior Schools Concert, the Kindergarten Book Parade, the Junior School Art Show and Preparatory School Art Show.
